Mom of the Year Contest Gives Winner Lakeside Resport Spa Package

LAKE OZARK, MO – Know someone who should be mom of the year? In honor of Mother’s Day in May, Spa Shiki at the Lodge of Four Seasons on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks will honor one special woman in May for her dedication and love. Nominations are currently being accepted for Spa Shiki’s 3rd annual Mom of the Year contest. Interested parties may submit nominations online at www.spashiki.com now through April 30, 2011.

From the list of nominees, Spa Shiki will select and post six finalists online May 1. The public is then invited to vote online for the mom they think deserves the honor. Voting will be open until May 14. Each finalist can receive one vote per e-mail address. The lucky mom will be announced on May 15.

Truman Trolley Rides $1 Through October 2!

If your looking for a fun, unique, inexpensive outing this weekend for your family, look no further than the Independence Square. The Truman Trolley runs daily through October 2nd.

The trolley takes you to historical spots throughout the community. Some of the stops include The National Frontier Trails Museum, Chicago & Alton Depot, Bingham-Waggoner Estate, all the Truman sites, the Vaile Mansion and the Mormon Heritage Sites.

You can catch the trolley at Clinton's Soda Fountain at Maple and Main Streets. Hours are from 10:30am-5:30pm Monday through Saturday. Admission is only $1 for adults which includes unlimited boarding and children ages five and under are free!
