This year's Missouri Wine Festival in Historic Excelsior Springs, Mo., promises grand entertainment and great wines from around the state. Enjoy sampling wines from over 14 different wineries including St. James, Stone Hill, Wenwood Farms, Baltimore Bend, Seven Springs and more. Meander among wineries and artists that dot the back lawn of the beautiful historic Elms Hotel while live music plays for nine straight hours.

Enjoy the likes of Keota, Ron Richards & Karla Bauer, Miss Major and Her Minor Mood Swings, James Ward Band and Molly Hammer.

Broadway's 2010 Tony Winner 'Memphis' Comes to Big Screen

MEMPHIS, Broadway’s current Tony Award® winning Best Musical, is hitting big screens nationwide for an exclusive four-night run on Thursday, April 28; Saturday, April 30; and Tuesday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m., with a special matinee on Sunday, May 1 at 12:30 p.m. (all times are local). This is the first time the current Tony Award®-winning Best Musical will be presented in movie theaters while concurrently running on Broadway. In addition to the electrifying musical, audiences will be treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the musical that won four 2010 Tony Awards® and continues to play to sold out houses on Broadway. When Betty and Ted Meyer got up to receive the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce award for distinguished membership in late January, Betty thought there was a strong possibility people might think they were on the way out.

Two-Week Lyric Opera Summer Camp Held this Summer

There are no ghostly tales shared around the campfire, but, oh, the stories they will tell after spending two weeks at Lyric Opera Summer Camp!

The 2011 two-week Lyric Opera Summer Camp will be held at the Lyric Theatre, July 25 - August 5, 2011, M-F, 11am-3:30pm. The camp is for youth ages 9-18. Cost is $350.00 (need based scholarships are available).
