The Surplus Exchange is ISO 14001:2004 compliant. We are also the first facility in the state of Missouri officially compliant with the e-Stewards Standard for Responsible Recycling and Reuse of Electronic Equipment, a standard set by the Basel Action Network, the world’s only organization focused on confronting the global environmental injustice of toxic trade and its devastating impacts.
The Surplus Exchange operates out of a 38,000 square foot warehouse at 518 Santa Fe. Come visit us, you are sure to find many useful items and even a few unusual things too! Support our mission and save money!
Additional Information
In order to increase our environmental stewardship and our commitment to keep eWaste from doing environmental harm here and abroad, individuals and companies purchasing parts, parts only and partial systems for repair must agree to return non-functioning parts that surface during the repair process. To ease this process, we have a form for those individuals to fill out, that we can keep on file.

Environmental Policy
The Surplus Exchange diverts consumer electronics from the waste stream insuring that the material is properly recycled in accordance with Basel Action Network guidelines. The Surplus Exchange does not use prison labor and will not ship to downstream vendors who use prison labor. The Surplus Exchange diverts office furniture, fixtures, and electronic business machines from the waste stream for distribution through reuse programs or proper recycling.
